چکیده

Introduction: Traditional treatment for papulopustular rosacea (PPR) has been challenged due to systemic side effects or frequent relapses, which necessitates new treatments. Preliminary evidence showed that conventional photodynamic therapy (c-PDT) is an efficient in treating PPR, but the pain and severe hyperpigmentation are urgent need of improvement, while use daylight (DL-PDT) AHA 30% chemical peels largely absent from literature. Objectives: The aim this study was evaluate clinical effect safety combination DL-PDT using 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) PPR. Materials Method: A total 96 PPR patients were randomly assigned (1 :1) receive at 2-weeks intervals three sessions followed by two (group1) oral 50mg/day minocycline 8 weeks (group2), with 2 follow-up. main outcomes measured skin lesion scores, physician’s global assessment (PGA), CT Inflammation lesion. secondary postacne index (PAHPI). Results: After treatment, groups much lower scores than before treatment. highly effective rosacea, achieving complete response (over 90% improvement) 55.3% patients. Notably, we found group1 outperformed group2 comparison PIH levels (P < 0.05). Conclusions: This demonstrates ALA minimal so it worthy promotion application.
